The Guild

Update 1st October 2020

The Christmas Big Sing was due to take place in Glasgow this year, but, as you can imagine,
that will no longer be happening. However, once again, it will take place online. Details are
not available yet, but when they are, we will let you know.

Blythswood Shoe Box Appeal – We are going to contribute to this as usual. Joan has offered
her home for collecting the boxes. Collection points will include the homes of Jan and Gill. On this occasion, please do not give loose items. We are only collecting packed boxes. There is nowhere this year to sort them out as we are sure you can understand. We hope you will be able to contribute in your usual generous way. Boxes are required by the Friday 23rd October. We are restricting it this year to Guild members only because of the difficult situation in which we find ourselves.

Gifts for Prisoners’ Children -It is hoped to contribute to this once again. Gifts are not
required until the beginning of December, so no rush for this. Again, Joan is willing to co-
ordinate. As above, please let anyone know of this initiative.

Joan and Maureen – on behalf of the Guild Committee

Under normal circumstances Kirkliston Parish Church Guild usually meets in the Church Centre on the second and fourth Wednesday of the months of September to April from 7.30-9.30 pm.  The Guild is an opportunity for both men and women to share faith, fellowship and fun.  As well as a diverse range of speakers, the Guild enjoys theatre visits, ten pin bowling and numerous excursions.
