The Guild

Kirkliston Parish Church Guild meets in the Church Centre on the second and fourth Wednesday of the months of September to April from 7.30-9.30 pm.  The Guild is an opportunity for both men and women to share faith, fellowship and fun.  As well as a diverse range of speakers, the Guild enjoys theatre visits, ten pin bowling and numerous excursions.

This year (2019-20), Guild Week begins with Guild Sunday on 8th September. Our first meeting is on Wednesday 11th September at 7.30pm when we are delighted to welcome Jayne and Peter Fleming to speak on their life as missionaries in Nepal. We are very grateful to them for giving up precious family time to come along that evening to give us an insight into their lives and the people they have met in Nepal. The Big Guild Quiz will take place at our second meeting on 25th September. Even if you have never been to a Guild meeting before we would love you to come along that evening. The Guild is open to all and we look forward to meeting up with friends old and new.

Update from Maureen Glen, 24th April 2019

We have come to the end of our first year of “ One Journey, Many Roads” with the emphasis on “ Seeking the Way”.

The projects we chose to support over the past session were Boys Brigade Scotland, Faith in Young People and Malawi Fruits, Growing the Future. Both of these projects support young people and, with the money raised by our members here in Kirkliston, we have been able to give each project £300 to further each of their visions for the future.
